We analyze the impact of public water infrastructure and handling technologies on quality behavior households in rural Benin using both quasi-experimental experimental household-level panel data. find that installation improved village-level sources induces to reduce disinfection efforts at home, indicating perceive as a substitute for obtain safe drinking water.
